By accessing and using the Car Donation Place website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Vehicle Donation Process

When you donate a vehicle through Car Donation Place:

  • You must be the legal owner of the vehicle or authorized to donate it
  • You must provide a clear title free of liens (unless otherwise arranged)
  • You must accurately describe the vehicle's condition
  • You are responsible for removing personal belongings from the vehicle
  • You must notify your state's DMV of the transfer as required by law

Tax Deductions

Car Donation Place provides IRS Form 1098-C for tax purposes. However:

  • We do not provide tax advice
  • You should consult with a tax professional regarding your specific situation
  • The tax deduction amount depends on the sale price of your vehicle
  • Vehicles sold for $500 or less allow deduction of fair market value up to $500

Pickup and Towing

We provide free towing for donated vehicles:

  • Pickup is typically scheduled within 24-48 hours
  • You must be present or make arrangements for vehicle access
  • Keys and signed title must be provided at pickup
  • We reserve the right to refuse vehicles that do not match the description

Limitation of Liability

Car Donation Place is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or donation of your vehicle.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
